Course Description

Sculptural design is the three-dimensional modeling process used in fields such as industrial design, furniture, and production design. It all starts with a sketchbook, where you gather ideas for practical designs that can solve everyday problems. Create sculptures that emphasize utility as much as form so that they can be useful in everyday life. Make maquettes, experiment with scale, test your design, and refine your idea. In the end you will create a functional sculpture that has beauty and purpose.
