RISD CE acrylic painting course

Painting offers a relaxing, intuitive escape and is a timeless form of self-expression. Always wanted to paint? Ready to practice daily? This course introduces acrylic paint, a favorite among artists. You'll learn the fundamentals of composition, brushwork, visual space, perspective and color theory. The journey culminates in a still-life painting, with instructor guidance and room for personal exploration. Whether you're a novice or seeking to refine your skills, this class provides a springboard for ongoing artistic growth.

Prerequisites

Students must be an adult age 18 or older to participate.
