1494 - Introduction to Drawing + Painting: Nature

Course Description

Together, with an eye for detail, we sketch from a varied selection of flowers and plants. Through short demos, individual guidance and sketchbook review, time-honored drawing and watercolor techniques are taught. This course covers drawing skills, materials, tools, surface preparation, composition, dry and wet painting as well as layering colors, using resists and other watercolor techniques. Please note that in addition to the lab fee, you can expect to have to buy additional supplies for this course. We try to keep this cost under $100, but for specialized courses (jewelry, wood, metals) this may be higher.
