Course Description

RISD CE kids course: Wild Inventions and Wacky Innovations

Think and work like a designer, as you have fun dreaming up flying machines, futuristic footwear, or even a do-nothing machine. In this camp, we think two- and three-dimensionally with design drawing and model building, as we explore form and function. Our inspirations juxtapose Dada, da Vinci, Rube Goldberg, Charles and Ray Eames, Isamu Noguchi, and even Mother Nature, as we build design journals and model ideas from paper, clay and recyclables. We collaborate as we play with creative problem solving and design a large-scale poster. Join your fellow inventors and innovators to come up with the next new fad while having fun in the process.
