Course Description

The head, though daunting at first, is more easily understood by mapping out simple geometric shapes and learning what the major planes are, as well as where they change. This class introduces the basic proportions and plane changes of the skull, and breaks down the facial features into easy-to-draw geometric forms using pencil and charcoal. Lecture provides students with a comprehensive understanding of form, while drawing from a model reinforces that knowledge through firsthand observation.
