1734 - Open Studio: Drawing

Course Description

An open studio environment is an ideal opportunity for extended practice, skill building and experimentation. Join us for this informal instruction drawing situation, in which you can work from the model in a variety of timed situations. There will be a facilitator to manage the model and classroom, but there will be no guided exercises, critiques or agenda during the sessions. You'll be free to use your choice of materials, as long as they adhere to RISD health and safety guidelines. The structure of the class begins with gestures/warm-ups and then moves into one or two longer poses for the rest of the class. Note: The room is a regular drawing studio, so no oil painting is permitted.
