Course Description

Storyboarding takes a story concept and breaks it down into a series of visual panels representing the story over time. It is an effective way to graphically organize any narrative for an animation, video ideation, children's book pagination or the development of a graphic novel, and an invaluable skill to have in one's arsenal. Students in this class make small drawings or images in sequence and learn visual tricks and tools to develop frames that maintain consistent time sequencing, focus on composition and interpret writing/text for strong visual representation. Quick visual exercises help students hone the essentials of storyboarding.
