RISD CE kids course: Cartooning for Kids

Create wondrous characters inspired by the rich tradition of cartooning. Whether fierce, forgetful or fearful, character cartoons are full of spirit and whimsy. Learn basic pencil and pen-and-ink drawing techniques to play with each character’s personality on paper. Read comic strips and watch animated cartoons for inspiration, then breathe life into your newly designed characters.

Prerequisites

Students must be age 9–12 to participate.
