Animators are like magicians of film. They create convincing animations that move seamlessly to present the illusion of life. Use software like Adobe Animate and the “onion skin” tool to experiment with frame rates for different effects. Tell brief but humorous stories in loop cycles. And give characters and objects personalities expressed through a walk cycle. You will use physical and digital techniques to create whimsical animations.

Create short character animations that show personality.
Apply animation concepts such as timing, spacing and easing.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic 2D animation software.

Students must be 13-17 years of age.
