Course Description

Well before a model wears a garment down the runway, the vision comes to life on paper. Fashion illustrators bring fashion designs into context to help customers envision what it would be like to wear the garment. They show clothing in elaborate illustrations, complete with hair and facial features. The models are positioned in ways that convey attitude, mood and motion.

Start by experimenting with drawing styles and learning fashion proportions. Complete looks by adding in accessories and other details. Leave with the ability to capture great style with a pen and paper.

Learner Outcomes

  • Render a fashion design in a complete and dynamic way.
  • Portray the human form in a stylized way. 
  • Convey the mood and attitude of fashion designs through illustration.

Prerequisites

Students must be 13-17 years of age.
