Course Description

Add another dimension to your small metals artworks by adding surface treatments. Start off by learning to use different textural finish techniques: punching and sanding to create texture, or polishing to create shine. Discover how to incorporate color to create painterly effects with the chemical reactions of patina, or add rich, opaque colors with powdered coating. You will leave with a series of surface treatment samples and a final piece combining your favorite techniques.
