Course Description

Heydar Aliyev Centre, Zaha Hadid (Architect)

Join us to explore modern art through six artists. They include painters Julie Mehretu and Sherwin Ovid, and sculptors Rose B. Simpson and Do Ho Suh. Also, architect Zaha Hadid and filmmaker Eija-Liisa Ahtila. We will also examine their contemporaries and predecessors, creating a record of contemporary art. You will write essays about works that inspire you, while you sharpen your critical skills and broaden your understanding of art criticism.

Prerequisites

Students must be an adult age 18 or older to participate.
