9433 - Introduction to Screen Printing

Course Description

This course will focus on beginning to intermediate screenprinting, and offer a number of takeaways for personal exploration of the process. You will learn about stencil brush preparation, detailed stencil cutting, color registration, layer trapping and stencil painting. Addressing the history and continued evolution of this non-planar printmaking process, You’ll participate in exercises in “pochoir,” hand-cut stencils, direct application stenciling and more ambitious multi-color printing.
