Course Description

Explore the dynamic boundary between the natural and urban environments, where nature adapts and thrives within the rhythms of city life. You will draw on location throughout Providence, using field sketching as a way to capture scenes in real time. These initial sketches will serve as the foundation for more sustained and refined drawings. Instruction focuses on drawing techniques, including composition, line quality, value and creating space, and you can work in the media of your choice. All levels are welcome, and individual guidance will support each student’s development and personal style.
