Course Description

When documenting a concert, street fashion, or nature, street photographers need to be ready for anything. This relaxed, low-stakes medium will get you outside capturing moving subjects and moody moments. Learn the basics of manual controls using mirrorless cameras. Then, figure out how to adjust to different lighting and weather conditions on the fly. Work with your environment to achieve interesting light and compositions. Enjoy the mindfulness of walking while being present in your surroundings. By the end, you will have a series of images that tell a story about your community from your perspective.

A limited number of cameras will be available. If you own a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls, we encourage you to bring your own.
