Course Description

Learning from the past is imperative to creating good design in the future. In this course we will discuss the most influential interior designers of the 20th and 21st centuries. We will learn not only how they made their mark in history, but also what led them to become the most prominent designers in the Western world. We will discuss each designer’s signature style, how it was perceived at that moment, and how it has transcended time. We will cover all areas of design—from modernist to minimalist to traditional and transitional.
