Flying, remote-controlled cameras are all around us (for better or for worse). If you want to strive for the better, this class can help you understand this complicated new mode of imaging. The instructor introduces the elements of the drone experience in a presentation that gives participants an understanding of terminology and a basis for comparative shopping. Imaging formats, copter designs and control differences are explained, as well as the regulatory policies that are in place to keep our skies and privacy safe. Presentation becomes demonstration as the experience moves outdoors to RISD's Tillinghast Farm to see a drone in action and its experienced pilot/photographer ready to answer your questions.
