Course Description

Our information-saturated society is awash in data, but how do you present data in useful and easy-to-read ways? Data visualization is the art of presenting data. By developing skills in visual communication, and an understanding of the human visual system, you will learn how to create clear, informative visualization. We will work through a step-by-step process to learn the visualization genre, looking at historical and contemporary examples, plus popular libraries like Processing and D3.js, in order to visualize your own data sets of interest.
