RISD CE kids course: Art on a Whim

Have you ever wanted to design, create, sculpt, sketch and paint something just for fun? Well, in this crash course through the world of drawing, painting and sculpting you can -- and still learn something along the way. The atmosphere is structured but open to spontaneity as we leave planning and tedious journaling behind to simply "roll up our sleeves" and create. "Happy accidents" and "Eureka moments" become the driving force down this road of fanciful undertakings. Out-of-this-world design projects abound in different materials that add up to a surprising and immediate experience with making art.

Prerequisites

Students must be age 9–12 to participate.
