Course Description

Collage by Heidi Harrington

Discover the potential of collage, a medium that combines image-making with material exploration. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this course will help you explore collage techniques. We'll begin with a journey through collage's rich history, from pioneers like Picasso and Höch, to post-war artists like Bearden and Kruger, and contemporary innovators like Mutu and Bradford. Then, through exercises, demonstrations and creative projects, you'll combine mixed media, photomontage and experimental textures to create unique artworks. By doing so, you'll broaden your artistic skills, experiment with color, texture, shapes and forms, and discover new ways to bring your ideas to life.

In-person courses cannot substitute for required certificate courses.
