Course Description

The language of drawing is the most efficient and accessible way to communicate visual ideas. This introductory course helps you develop hand-eye coordination–required for all perceptual drawing–to understand how to look and transcribe the world onto a two-dimensional surface. Through presentations and tutorials, you’ll learn to describe objects through scale, angle and proportion. As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll progress to more complex subjects and begin making thoughtful compositional choices.

In-person courses cannot substitute for required certificate courses. Additionally, this course can not be substituted for Drawing Fundamentals I or II.
