Course Description

Sketchbooks are an incredibly important part of the creative process. It is where artists and designers think through their ideas visually: exploring techniques, recording ideas, taking notes, and playing with subjects and forms. In this course we will discuss different ways of starting a sketchbook, incorporating it into your artistic practice and making it an artistic object in itself. We will use multiple media and techniques while exploring elements such as composition and expressive mark-making to develop your own style. This course is for you if you have ever wanted to start a sketchbook or to engage in creative play to invigorate your creative practice.
