Course Description

RISD CE course: 3D Modeling with Rhino

This course is an exploration of intermediate building techniques within Rhino, with a focus on the core skills and building techniques within the program. You will learn how to effectively model an object from an image or sketch, how to edit a complex object and how to light/render objects within Rhino.

Prerequisites

Students must be an adult age 18 or older to participate.

All other prerequisites for 3D Modeling with Rhino (Part A) apply.

Necessary Supplies

Students are responsible for purchasing their own art supplies, equipment, software subscriptions, and/or books. You will need to purchase Rhino software and materials that can cost up to $200 (estimate). A supply list will be available on the course site in Canvas at least 30 days prior to the first day of class.

Once you have received your enrollment confirmation and logged in to Canvas, navigate to Upcoming Courses on the left-hand side of your dashboard. Supplies will be listed on your course homepage under the supplies heading. Some or all of your course supplies are available at the RISD Store.
