Do you want to make clean and crisp relief prints at home without the help of an expensive printing press? Are you interested in learning how street artists like Gaia create and install oversized prints using things you can find in your own kitchen? This course will introduce different printing methods and materials as you step toward mastering single color and multi color relief printing techniques. Through weekly demonstrations and assignments, you will acquire the skills to handprint, make a baren, build registration jigs, choose the appropriate paper, and properly handle and clean tools. The materials used in this course will include linoleum sheets, water soluble ink, brayer, baren, wooden spoon, different types of paper and more.
