Course Description

If you're fascinated by the landscape of a flower blossom or the vista of a spider's web, then you have an appreciation for the wonders of macro photography. This one-day workshop introduces the wonderfully complex photographic discipline of close-up photography through a multimedia presentation and hands-on demonstration of technique. The demo includes examination of focusing tools such as diopters, extension tubes, and the costly macro lens, which are critical to successful image capture. Lighting options are also covered, from sophisticated ring flashes to inventive ambient lighting scenarios. Join us as we go on a photographic exploration of the often-overlooked details within plants, animals and other interesting objects.
