Course Description

RISD CE Adobe Lightroom course

Adobe Lightroom is an indispensable tool for many photographers, whether they’re capturing events, portraits, fine art, landscapes or still lifes. It can help you process and organize groups of images more efficiently. In this class, you’ll learn how to import, organize, sort, edit, batch edit and output. The course will cover Lightroom’s modules (such as Library and Develop), some more advanced tools, and the intricacies of RAW processing. You’ll also discover Lightroom’s ability to work seamlessly with Photoshop. At the end of the course, you’ll have a workflow that fits your needs.

Prerequisites

Students must be an adult age 18 or older to participate.

Necessary Supplies

This course requires a camera capable of capturing RAW files. Additionally, you can expect to spend up to $125 (estimate) on supplies, equipment, software subscriptions, and/or books for this course. A supply list will be available on the course site in Canvas at least 30 days prior to the first day of class.

Once you have received your enrollment confirmation and logged in to Canvas, navigate to Upcoming Courses on the left-hand side of your dashboard. Supplies will be listed on your course homepage under the supplies heading. Some or all of your course supplies are available at the RISD Store.
