Course Description

The stark contrasts of a New England winter provide the landscape photographer with a challenging outdoor classroom in which to find valuable images. This introductory course presents this chilly season as a model to photographers interested in practicing technical skills like exposure and filtration, as well as the deeper design decisions that inform compositional success or failure. Bring a warm coat, a sturdy tripod and unyielding curiosity as you and your classmates meet in four distinct locations -- all within a short drive of Providence. You'll then edit and submit your pictures to our online learning portal for peer review and critique. Note: This course meets at various off-campus locations.
