Course Description

Working in precious and non-precious metal, this class moves beyond the foundation learned in Jewelry Making + Design I to explore the application of techniques with concept and design for adornment. You’ll be encouraged to pursue concept-driven intermediate-level projects that incorporate more complex soldering techniques such as chain making and hollow construction. You’ll also have more room for individual artistic development.

Note: Students should be comfortable with basic metal fabrication techniques, including sawing and soldering.
