9050 - Data Visualization (Part B)
Course Description
Building upon an understanding of the data-to-visualization process pipeline, each student develops their coding experience to create an interactive data visualization. While learning to populate and manage dynamic data in a relational database management system, students gain exposure to popular visualization libraries like Bokeh, Processing, and D3, using both Python and JavaScript to script interactive features. The class explores PHP and server-side JavaScript as middleware scripting languages for manipulating data, as well as genres of interaction features that awaken cognitive augmentation.
