RISD CE course: Jewelry Making and Design I

In this course students learn about three-dimensional problem solving in metal as a means of personal expression. Extending their research and model making skills, this class introduces sheet metal fabrication and wire construction techniques that evolve from sketches and paper models to pieces in metal. Students will learn basic metal fabrication techniques and craftsmanship, problem solving, and creative material explorations as they work through demonstrations, exercises and projects that include both aesthetic and technical considerations.
