Course Description

RISD CE course: 3D Modeling with Rhino

This course is an introduction to Rhino’s interface and modeling aids, with a focus on creating models with a few crucial building techniques. You will gain an understanding of the key features within the program, learn to leverage their workflow, and employ best practices in modeling complex objects from just a few commands within the program.

Note: Prior 3D modeling experience is not required.

Necessary Supplies

Students are responsible for purchasing their own art supplies, equipment, software subscriptions, and/or books. You will need to purchase Rhino software and materials that can cost up to $200 (estimate). A supply list will be available on the course site in Canvas at least 30 days prior to the first day of class. 

Once you have received your enrollment confirmation and logged in to Canvas, navigate to Upcoming Courses on the left-hand side of your dashboard. Supplies will be listed on your course homepage under the supplies heading. Some or all of your course supplies are available at the RISD Store.
