Course Description

Artwork by Allison Wetsel

A continuation of Digital Design Techniques, Part A (1466), this course continues with a more in-depth exploration of Adobe software by focusing on more detailed and challenging design projects. Starting with producing animated graphics in Photoshop, and then comparing that workflow and output to video production in Premiere, the need for separation of software tasks becomes apparent. Drawing precise graphics in Illustrator rounds out the Adobe workflow as students then organize their projects into a dynamic JavaScript-based website. Ultimately this course serves as a powerful introduction to common but important tasks in the digital design field for freelancers and members of art production teams alike. Note: Successful completion of "Digital Design Techniques, Part A" (1466) and "Digital Design Techniques, Part B" (1467) satisfies the certificate requirement for "Digital Design Techniques" (3542).
