Working from a lively selection of flowers and plants, develop your observational skills to create unique botanical watercolor paintings. Historic examples of botanical illustrations will inform your compositional choices and serve as inspiration for your completed paintings. Dive deeper into your drawing and watercolor practice while learning the rules of composition, color selection and mixing, layering watercolor and creating detail. Paper selection, transferring preliminary drawings and project planning will also be covered.
