Course Description

Print by Heidi O'Donnell Eastman

This course explores the technique and history of white-line woodblock printing, guiding you from foundational skills to creative, personalized expression. Learn to juxtapose color and form to produce prints of various sizes, culminating in a final project perfect for custom greeting cards. Alongside hands-on experimentation, the course delves into the history of the Provincetown Printers—a pioneering, predominantly female group of early 20th century avant-garde artists who developed this unique American technique. This class offers a rich blend of historical insight and artistic freedom, suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists.
