Course Description

Learn the art of wire wrapping as you manipulate, bend, and weave wire into wearable sculpture. This course proves that you don't need a high-tech studio or an open flame to create sophisticated, expressive jewelry — using little more than pliers and a hammer. Gain fluency with essential hand tools as you explore coiling, looping, hammer-texturing, and forming your own clasps and closures entirely from wire. By the end of the course, you will walk away with a finished body of wire jewelry and the skills needed to safely continue making jewelry at home.

Prerequisites

Students must be an adult age 18 or older to participate.
