Course Description

Widen your photographic eye and be inspired by the change of seasons in this landscape photography course built around the vernal equinox. The course begins with a comprehensive presentation of the landscape photographer's art form that includes antique, traditional and contemporary images, as well as a review of post-processing options. For subsequent classes, you’ll meet at three scenic locations, all within 30 miles of Providence. You'll explore these new locations where spring is in full bloom, while practicing the rudiments of focus, depth of field, and proper exposure. Color and composition are always a concern as you share assignments online for constructive critique. Note: This course meets on the RISD campus and various off-campus locations.
